These books are popular because the girl's diary is about everyday problems at school, gossip and friendship. Jamie, the main character writes about problems with friendship and I sometimes have problems with friendship like lies, but we find solutions. I love reading Dear Dumb Diary books.

 

The Lightning Key--Patricia

The Lightning Key by Jon Berkeley is just as interesting as the Palace of Laughter. Miles and Little ride a blimp to find Miles’ aunt but land unexpectedly in an unknown city…I would recommend this book to people who like adventure.

Miles Wednesday an orphan in The Palace of Laughter by Jon Berkeley, rescues Little, an angel from a circus then must escape the monster Null. In Tiger’s Egg, the sequel, Miles discovers a secret about Null. Paulina writes to Miles:
I was surprised that the Bosilla Brothers didn’t tell you…I hope you find an antidote to change him back. Good Luck with everything and I hope Little is doing well.

My Teacher Fried My Brains

This book is so funny you need to read this. For example the kid in the book hides inside a dumpster to not get caught by his principle. Does he get caught? I know but you should read to find out. Also his friend got captured by an alien and he is trying to find out who did this. There is one of the teachers is still an alien or at least he thinks so. At last he finds the alien but is it a teacher or is it one of there neighbors. If you guys like adventure and creepy like stories, I think this book should fit you just fine!

The main characters are Amy and Dan. In the beginning of the book their grandmother died of cancer. Grace is Amy’s and Dan’s grandmother. Grace had left a will to Amy and Dan to take a million dollars and leave or to take the first clue and start the quest. If Amy and Dan will not take the million dollars, their aunt Beatrice will take Amy and Dan to a foster home. But they chose the first clue. Nellie their babysitter, helps them with the 39 clues. They go traveling around the world like Paris. Their competitors are the Tomas, Janice, Lucian, and Ekaterina families.

Tyler-39 Clues

One of my favorite books from the 39 Clues series was book 2, One False Note because it was talking about historical music. The most exciting part of the story is when Amy and Dan Cahill sneak into the Janus Head Quarters and take pieces of missing paper from Mozart’s sister’s diary. They were chased by Jonah Wizard, his dad, and a butler out of the head quarters. The branches of the Cahill family are Lucian, Ekaterina, Tomas, and Janus.

My favorite book from the 39 clues series is book 10, Into the Gantlet because I would have to say that this book had the most action, suspense , and some secrets revealed about their family.

Book 10 takes place in London, UK.  The branches are Ekaterina, Lucian, Tomas   , and the Janus, out of Amy and Dan’s family. They compete against each other even though if they are all family.

Aliah and Sierra acted out a scene from Stolen Children as Amy and Kendra.  Amy is the 14 year old babysitter and Kendra is 3 years old. They are running away from kidnappers.  Kendra gets tired and Amy lets her take a nap in the woods.  While she's napping, Amy decides to make an arrow out of sticks to point toward the kidnappers' cabin.  She thinks this will help helicopters and airplanes find the kidnappers' cabin.  Kendra wakes up and tells Amy she hears someone coming so they run away towards the Saddle Stop Country Store.  They want to get to the store so that they can use a phone to call the police.
