Goddess Girls Athena the Brain By Joan Holub

Athena, the daughter of Zeus who is the king of gods and ruler of heavens, gets invited to Mount Olympus Academy, where Zeus is the principal. Athena soon misses her best friend Pallas because Athena is from the real world. She starts making friends with other goddess girls like, Artemis, Aphrodite, and Persephone. Read the book to find out how she actually gets invited there and how she gets adjusted. I liked this book because it's about mythological goddess girls. It also tells you about godboys and other goddess girls. Don't forget to read the other books in the series!

Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman

Eona wants to be a dragoneye apprentice, but no one believes that women have the power to be one. She pretends to be a boy and becomes the mirror drangoneye, who had been lost for 500 years. She goes on crazy adventures to stop the evil lord who killed most of the other drangoneyes. I like this book because it has a lot of action and adventures. Also, not a lot of people know about Japanese mythology; I liked reading about it in Eon: Drangoneye Reborn.

The Cirque du Freak Series

The Circe du Freak books are about a half-vampire hamed Daren Shan who is trying to save the world from the Vampaneze, vampires who kill people by sucking out all their blood. The vampires are trying to stop the Vampaneze from doing that. I like the books because they are fast, frightening, and just all too real. When you are reading, it feels like you are in the book.

The first Cirque du Freak book, A Living Nightmare, is about Darren and his friends going to a freak show.  Darren's friend Steve recognizes a vampire. A few days later Darren steals the vampire's spider and it bites Steve and paralyzes him. Then Darren has to fake his own death and become a half vampire to save Steve.

The Cobble Street Cousins by Cynthia Rylant

The series is about three girls, two sisters and their cousin, who live with their aunt.  They have active imaginations and in each book they do something creative.  Our favorite books in the series are: All in the Kitchen and Summer Party because these are the books where the aunt meets her future husband.

The author draws pictures with her words, by the end of the series you feel the characters are your friends.  We wish she wrote more books for this series.

Mockingbird by Katherine Erskine

Caitlin is the kind of person who has trouble making friends. Her life changes when her brother, Devon, dies. She really loved her brother Devon. Now she and her dad have to get closure without Devon there to help them. A teacher helps her try to make friends and get closer to her father. There is something that can help her and her father to get closure. She loves to draw but there is something that she does not do in drawing.  Read this book to find out the answers to many of these mysteries.
I liked the book because it is a really sad story, but it really spoke to me. It is one of those books that you really get in to and you cannot stop reading.

Nightmare at the Bookfair by Dan Gutman

Trip Dinkleman wants to try out for lacrosse but gets called into the school book fair by a teacher to help set up. When all of a sudden a book hits him in the head, Trip dreams about him and the whole school in all the books. In every chapter, he is a character in a different well-known book.
I liked the book because it was fun to read and I felt like I was in the story. I would recommend this book to people who have a good imagination. This book is really interesting because Trip goes through all the genres you could think of. I think this book is a great book by Dan Gutman. I'm really glad I read it and you will be too.

Demonkeeper by Royce Buckingham

This book is about a boy named Sam who inherits three demons that he has to tame and take care of. But there's a demon in his basement that no one can tame...
This is a book about responsibility because Sam has to take care of the demons. It is about taking good care of things. I thought it was a good book because it has action, humor, and romance.
