The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan

Two kids named Carter and Sadie found they have a blood of the Pharaoh plus a god and goddess in them. Their mom died and their Dad is hosting a god and ruling Duat.  So Carter and Sadie tried to defeat Set, but if they lose, the world would be in chaos.

It was exciting and the plot was twisted in every direction, plus the gods and goddesses were interesting.  Carter was incased in a god and Sadie had teleportation powers.  She can go places without walking.  I liked this because if we had this power, we can get to school super fast.  How that story was written was amazing!!!! and that is why I liked the RED PYRAMID.

The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann

Two boys live in a place with a creativity at all.  If they showed creativity they would be eliminated.  The "death farmer" AKA Mr. Today creates a world for people with massive creativity.  This begins a big war between these two worlds.

I liked this book because it had a lot of magic spells, like this cool spell called scatter clips, where paper clip clinch on your shirt until you get to a wall.  I am into magic because my Dad was into magic and showed me. Also because I am into fantasy where things are odd and come true.  I especially liked Simber the stone jaguar with wings.  He was able to be the defender of Artimea.  He has a lot of responsiblilty which reminds me of me and my sisters.

Secrets of the Dripping Fang: Vampire Curse by Dan Greenburg

Two children named Wally and Cheyene found out that their father was a zombie.  They live with a big spider and a famous professor.  The Professor made a potion called an elixir and made the zombie drink it. It was supposed to turn him human but there was a mix-up and the father turned into a vampire.

I like this book because the words are understandable and written nicely.  I liked the mystery.  My favorite character is the Dad because he is a vampire and he can fly.  I would recommend this book to other people because of the mischief and humor.

The One and Only Ivan by Kate Applegate

Ivan, a gorilla lives in a dome.  He turns out to like it and makes new friends.  The problem is his elephant friend.  She leaves in a couple weeks.  He breaks out to visit her.

This book is exciting and funny because Ivan breaks everything in the zoo just to see her.

The Giggler Treatment by Roddy Doyle

This book is about creatures that are like mice. They teach parents a lesson by making adults, who are mean to their kids, step in dog poo.

I liked it because it has lots of funny parts and sneaky parts.  The best part is when they make the adults step in poo and because it is surprising.

Miss Suki is Kooky! by Dan Gutman

Miss Suki brought a bird that is very funny and pretty.  Miss Kooky is very surprising.  She runs for  funny reason.  And she is from the rain forest and she wanted to visit A.J.'s school.

I liked this book because it is really silly and it made me laugh out loud.  One thing I found really funny is when the bird bumps into the Blue Barry Award.  All the characters are weird, nice, funny and likable and people get hit by the bird.
