If you read Scary School and liked it, I would recommend Monsters on the March. It is about an eleven year old ghost writer, who goes on a field trip with the whole school to see the Monster King. Then Charles Nukid rescues Princess Zogette. He must marry her because he saved her. Then they get attacked.
I liked it because it has adventureand very silly parts. Like when they make a human chain. That is why I liked it.

The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan
Two kids named Carter and Sadie found they have a blood of the Pharaoh plus a god and goddess in them. Their mom died and their Dad is hosting a god and ruling Duat. So Carter and Sadie tried to defeat Set, but if they lose, the world would be in chaos.
It was exciting and the plot was twisted in every direction, plus the gods and goddesses were interesting. Carter was incased in a god and Sadie had teleportation powers. She can go places without walking. I liked this because if we had this power, we can get to school super fast. How that story was written was amazing!!!! and that is why I liked the RED PYRAMID.

The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann
Two boys live in a place with a creativity at all. If they showed creativity they would be eliminated. The "death farmer" AKA Mr. Today creates a world for people with massive creativity. This begins a big war between these two worlds.
I liked this book because it had a lot of magic spells, like this cool spell called scatter clips, where paper clip clinch on your shirt until you get to a wall. I am into magic because my Dad was into magic and showed me. Also because I am into fantasy where things are odd and come true. I especially liked Simber the stone jaguar with wings. He was able to be the defender of Artimea. He has a lot of responsiblilty which reminds me of me and my sisters.

The Professor made a potion called an elixir and made the zombie drink it. It was supposed to turn him human but there was a mix-up and the father turned into a vampire.
I like this book because the words are understandable and written nicely. I liked the mystery. My favorite character is the Dad because he is a vampire and he can fly. I would recommend this book to other people because of the mischief and humor.

The Giggler Treatment by Roddy Doyle
This book is about creatures that are like mice. They teach parents a lesson by making adults, who are mean to their kids, step in dog poo.
I liked it because it has lots of funny parts and sneaky parts. The best part is when they make the adults step in poo and because it is surprising.

Miss Suki is Kooky! by Dan Gutman
Miss Suki brought a bird that is very funny and pretty. Miss Kooky is very surprising. She runs for funny reason. And she is from the rain forest and she wanted to visit A.J.'s school.
I liked this book because it is really silly and it made me laugh out loud. One thing I found really funny is when the bird bumps into the Blue Barry Award. All the characters are weird, nice, funny and likable and people get hit by the bird.

His Dark Materials Triology by Philip Pullman
This trilogy follows the adventures of a young girl named Lyra, her daemon familiar, and, in the second and third books, Will. Lyra lives in a world where bears wear armor, a person without a daemon in an outcast zombie, and creatures rip out people's lungs. Will lives in a world very much like ours. Lyra and her daemon, Pantalaimon, meet Will in a rather violent way in the second book, The Subtle Knife. In the book, Will and Lyra meet by striking blows at each other then finding that they become the best of friends. The three of them venture into another world full of ghostlike creatures called Specters. The world they ventured into hosts a knife of unspeakable power. The knife was a weapon that could cut through any substance. In the final book, The Amber Spyglass, the children must find a way to stop an important substance called Dust from falling into an abyss. How will they stop the Specters and the abyss from sucking up all of the dust?
I liked these books because they were fast-paced, full of action, and had many interesting creatures.

Marley and Me by John Grogan---Jeffery
Marley and Me is on of the best books I've ever read. It is basically Marley's life story; from the first day to the last. This book will make you laugh and make you cry. John Grogan makes this book interesting by not just going on and on about Marley, but he talks about what is going on with everyone, like his wife, his kids and his neighbors. I would really recommend this book to everyone that is a dog lover. Marley and Me is an amazing book.

Mesha meets author Kate Applegate
I read The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. The book was about a gorilla named Ivan who lives in the Exit 8 Big Top Mall. I saw Katherine Applegate and she gave a whole presentation about this book. I liked seeing Katherine Applegate because she was interesting. Katherine Applegate showed us a video about different gorillas bonding together. She also showed us a video abo0ut a kid who fell into the gorilla’s cage which showed that silver back gorillas can be gentle. Katherine got the idea for the book from a magazine article about Ivan the silver back gorilla.

Dear Mr Henshaw by Beverly Cleary
I read Dear mr. Henshaw. It is about a boyu that writes to an author for a school assignment. He picks Mr. Henshaw. Mr Henshaw writes back but his responce is silly. The boy's teacher does not like it, so he gets a bad grade. He keeps writing to Mr Henshaw and tells him about his life.
I liked it because it was funny but sad. In one of his letters he writes, "if my Dad was here he would tell you to climb a tree". It is sad because when he tries to call his Dad he doesn't answer and his Dad never calls him by his name.
