Mesha read Heartbeat by Sharon Creech

This book is about a girl named Annie whose mom is pregnant. Annie's grandpa is forgetting little by little every day. Max is Annie's best friend who is always moody and wants a pair of running shoes. This book is mostly about Annie's relationships with all the characters. I liked Heartbeat because it's full of poetry and phrases. I like the poetry because it is more descriptive and it didn't always rhyme.

Bloomability by Sharon Creech

This book is about a girl named Dinnie. Dinnie's aunt and uncle bring her to Switzerland to get a proper education because Dinnie never had a permanent home. In Switzerland she learns what we learn, but she also learns how to ski. During the ski trip, there is an avalanche, and her two best friends get trapped under the snow. At the end of the school year it is hard to say bye, but Dinnie gets a surprise from her friend. I liked this book because it's about a girl going to school away from home. I read how it is, and it sounds interesting. -- Patricia
